Phew!! after a week struggle with brain,neuron, stupid neuro terms, and the tremendously awkward genetics thingeys, I actually managed to get out from the exam hall…alive..

and…since I have passed my exam, so I officially acquire the honor to bitch about our infamous neurology dept

As per my two-semester observations, one can conludes that :

1. Babushkin is the worst lecturer ever (albeit his skill on torturing patient till they spurred the truth out, thus his favorite diagnosis "Stress-induced pain")

2. Babushkin deliver bad lecture in English, and even worse in Russian (considering its his mother-tongue, yet nobody - yup,not even the Russian-could make sense of what he is talking about)

3. I think Barulin (aka Doralin) have the tendency to mark/label student according their…."appearance"

4. When he dislike people, he really shows it, either by unheartedly pull "that" face when you answering, or give you the "wacky smile" - as if saying "You dont know shit about neurology"

5. In the end, he actually isnt that bad, considering he is one of few teachers that actually teach (when he’s in the mood, otherwise he’ll order u to watch some crappy promotional videos about new neurotropic drugs)

6. Neurology is one of those subject with difficult and various diagnosis but usually end up with the same course of treatment.

7. Medical genetics is those subject with similar-like disease & symptom (they have like..hundreds of muscular dystrophy) and all of them end up INCURABLE (Doralin favorite term)

8. There’s a well-english-speaking intern who love to bug student during the examination (he actually convinced Doralin to fail several student, and made Doralin doubt for a second whether I should even get a good mark for my answer)

9. You’ll never learn anything in neurology by attending the lecture or the practical class (esp if u got Babushkin for two semester as ur tutor).

10. You could study by yourself, but usually the Russian dr will incur your answer as "invalid" as it does not comply with "Russian School of Medicine" - yep, it did happen today

11. I learn more about neurology via the Japanese-series "One Litre of tears" than two-whole semester in the damp-cold Neuro class.

12. I think I’m gonna miss neuro dept after all
